Earthquake in Jajarkot district – Karnali Province

According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre a 6.4 magnitude earthquake recorded through parts of Nepal, with its epicenter located in the far western part of Nepal Jajarkot district, at 11:47 p.m. While approximately 750 km from Kathmandu, slight shaking was felt in Kathmandu. However, our tours and trekking to —Kathmandu, Everest region, Annapurna, Manaslu Langtang, Lumbini, Chitwan, and Pokhara—stand untouched by any destruction and are safe.
We were saddened to hear of the 153 casualties and many more injuries reported in the affected regions of Jajarkot and West Rukum. Our hearts go out to those affected, and we hope for their swift recovery.
As we have consistently emphasized, our commitment to the safety of our tour groups remains unwavering. We are relieved to share that none of the groups currently in Nepal have been impacted by this event. The tours will continue as planned, adhering to their meticulously crafted itineraries.
