Trip Overview

If you don’t have enough time to attend the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek but want to see the breathtaking beauty of the Langtang Gosaikunda region, the Gosaikunda Helicopter Tour is an option. The Lang Tang Himalayan mountains, lush green hills, lakes, glaciers, and distant settlements are all visible from the Heli trip. The flight will take off from Kathmandu and will last 40 minutes. Pilgrims believe that bathing in the holy river of Gosaikunda purifies them and protects them from danger for the rest of their lives. The soul goes to heaven after death, which is why pilgrimages to Gosaikunda are so popular these days. Gosaikunda is situated at an elevation of 4380m which is a freshwater lake situated in a Langtang National Park.

The lake is surrounded by beautiful snow-capped mountains and every year thousands of tourists and pilgrims visit Gosaikunda lake to pray and for enjoying the best view of the Langtang ranges. When it comes to the tales regarding this lake, it is intimately linked to the Ramayana and Mahabharata. The Samundra Manthan, as well as the dwelling of God Shiva and Parvati, is described in these two sacred texts as Gosaikunda Lake. In addition, Bhairab Kunda, Saraswati Kunda, Ganesh Kunda, and other holy lakes surround this lake.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: We will be moving to Kathmandu domestic airport early in the morning. A tour agent will pick you up from the hotel you are living in. After reaching Kathmandu domestic tour we will go through the security checks and then our instructor will do some briefing about the Heli tour, things that should be done and shouldn’t be done, things we need to be careful of. After following the instructions of the captain, we will board into the helicopter and our Heli tour to Gosaikunda begins. You will witness the scenic view of Langtang valley, and the valley surrounded by mountains, lush green hills, and glaciers. And at the same time panoramic view of beautiful mountains like Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Dorge Lakpa, Mt. Gaurisankar, and many others. Then our Helicopter will land on the Gosaikunda lake, and we will be stunned by the beauty of the lake.
